I understand that the AGM passed by as they have done in previous years with much unhappiness from the floor and greater concerns about the dissemination of information (politely put). With that in mind, is it time for CAC to become a little more proactive?
We presently have three CRFC ltd board representatives working very hard for us CAC members, but these are just three voices among 10 (I think that it's 10, but I can't check right now). Therefore, should we (as members) be giving them a helping hand so that our views can be properly aired and the shareholding properly used?
What I'm thinking of is that if "the Blues" can send a questionnaire to its season ticket holders then CAC could do the same for its members. Sure, the kind of questions that could be included would take a little bit to work on but the theory is pretty sound, isn't it? I'm sure that there would be a number of volunteers happy to give up some free time to design and post the questionnaire as well as work through the findings.
Naturally, these findings could then be the basis of the representation our board members can make. This may not make a jot of difference to the other 7 members but at least something would be being done to represent the views of those of us who part own the company.
I'm thinking that the kind of questions could be along the lines of:
- the future use of CAP
- how the Blues are perceived
- the future of the Prem team amongst the desires from certain sections to boot them out to Canton once CAP is sold
- would the members of CAC be willing to try to take control of CRFC ltd
- do the members of CAC want the return of the Blues to CAP
- lots of free text space for ANB etc
I'd be interested in the views of others on this as to whether apathy has finally removed any interest, whether this would be a waste of time, am I alone in wanting at least the views of the members to be forumlated, etc etc etc.
Excellent idea.
For all the unhappy campers about and there are many of us, this will provide an opportunity to air our views although what it will achieve, i'm not sure. At present, I get the impression, my gut feeling if you like, that CAC are content to go along with everything that is happening without question. I may be way off the mark of course.
Phil, I think this would be an excellent idea and would welcome any input you or any other member could provide.
I am away for a couple of weeks but on my return would be pleased to meet with whoever is interested to push this idea forward.
I'm no expert on the design and construction of surveys but it is something I'm involved with in my workplace, along with the subsequent collation and presentation of the data. So anything I can do to help count me in.

Souds good to me. Anything I can do: Count me in.
Hands OFF

Cheers, Keith. Enjoy your break and we'll catch up upon your return. A nice end of season questionnaire could be very well timed, I feel.
Anybody picking up on this? CAC Committee? Rugby Committee?
There's lots of rumours at other clubs about significant wage cuts being applied to the Premiership team and we're all aware of the alleged financial problems elsewhere in the club, so maybe now would be a good time to find out the thoughts of the members.
I know Keith returned on Monday. So I'm sure things will happen now.
It would be nice to know what is going on, at least.
Anything I can do. count me in.
Any further developments?
