New Cardiff Blues outside half Dan Parks will make his debut for the region this Friday when they take on the Newport Gwent Dragons. David Young has named a strong side ahead of Friday night's match which will be played as part of the Martyn Williams Testimonial Year celebrations. Parks will make his debut at fly half, partnering Richie Rees, with Chris Czekaj retaining his place at full back and Casey Laulala partnering Tom Shanklin at centre. The Amlin Cup back row of Rush, Williams and Molitika are back in action while Captain Paul Tito is partnered by Bradley Davies. There is a young front row with Scott Andrews, Rhys Williams and Tom Davies all given run outs.

The Blues Supporters Quarter will host a fun packed Summer Party at the match and is located in the concourse area behind the Canton Stand and open to all from 6pm with the match kicking off at 7.30pm.

Tickets for the Blues v Dragons match, priced at Adults: £10 Juniors: £5, are still available and can be purchased through the Cardiff City Stadium Ticket Office 08453451400 www.cardiffblues.com/tickets.

You'd have thought after all these years service Martyn deserves something a little more glamorous than Newport Gwent Dragons for his testimonal,ie Regional  Select XV, International XV something along those lines.

So are there any Magnum PI's among us who will be going tonight? Also, if you wanted one that is, where can you buy a grass skirt nowadays?

Official crowd 10000. So probably about 7000. Very poor considering they made it Martyn's Pension plan game.

I do hope it will be the same Hawaiian theme for the Edinburgh game on the weekend otherwise i'll look a right idiot if i'm the only one dressed up in this garb.
