Reading the season ticket pageon  cardiffblose.com http://www.cardiffblues.com/34_193.php there appears to be no mention on CRFC season tickets/CAC membership  - is it not included this year?

I asked the question when I renewed, and was told the CAC membership is included again this year. I think it's only for existing members though.

That is good - I have been a member for some considerable years.

I wonder if there will be the same problems with season ticket cards this year. Hopefully any issues were ironed out last year.

If you were a member last year and have renewed your Cardiff Blues season ticket this year you will be a member of CAC THIS YEAR.

If you are a new Cardiff Blues season ticket holder you will need to apply for membership of CAC.

There is a separate card for CAC membership and if you have not yet received your card you should contact Howard Smith at Cardiff Arms Park.

Cheers Keith.

But why can't the Blues state what you have just told us on their website and why don't they mention that a Blues ST also entitles you to attend league games at CAP?

Here's a thought.

What if a Cardiff Blues ST holder decides to follow Cardiff RFC, but doesn't realise the ST allows free entry to Welsh Prem games at CAP.

If they discover months later, after forking out £10 each time to watch Cardiff RFC, that their Cardiff Blues ST already covered the aforementioned games at CAP, would they be able to claim this money back?

That's an interesting scenario.

Since all our gate receipts are handed over to Cardiff RFC Ltd I think we know the answer but I would love to be a "fly-on-the-wall"should such a request be made.

I hope Cardiff Blues season ticket holders use their right to watch the Premiership games as much as possible because their support would be much appreciated by all involved with Cardiff RFC Premiership

It happened to a friend of mine on one occassion last season, so only cost him a tenner. He wasn't happy though.

I agree with you about Cardiff Blues ST holders coming to Premiership games at CAP, the more the merrier, so why doesn't the club advertise the fact that they can go to these games for nothing?

Also, there must be many new Cardiff Blues ST holders who don't know this. If they did, i'm sure we would see a few more at CAP and at the same time spending their cash too. Therefore by not informing them, it would be reasonable to suggest that the club is losing out.

Keith, if you believe my argument to be sound, will you be able to take it any further?

My interpretation is that Cardiff Blues look upon the Premiership side as a necessary evil that they would prefer to be without given half a chance.

The limited company seem to deny any connection between Cardiff RFC / Cardiff Arms Park and Cardiff Blues.

If you look at http://www.cardiffblues.com/168.php?includeref=574&season=2008-2009 and the seasons preceding 2008-9 you will see that match venues that were Cardiff Arms Park are now listed as TBA which most would take to mean "To Be Arranged".

In the Cardiff Blues imaginary world of denial I take that to mean that they are trying to arrange for a name for the historic venue that has served them so well for many years, that doesn't have a Cardiff RFC connection !

Al, I honestly thought you had got it wrong about "Cardiff Arms Park" being amended to "TBA" on the Blues website, so I followed the link you posted and to my shock and horror, you're right.

Christ on a bike, when did they do this and why? It must have been done recently as i'm sure I would have noticed.

What an utterly disgraceful and shameful thing they have done. What next? Mass book burnings? FFS!!!!!!!!!!

In true Blues fashion though with a lack of attention to detail, they've missed out a few and what about the match reports? Will they be amending the text and air brushing the photos?

There's no point in pressing Keith on the subject of my previous post if this is what the Blues are reverting to.

I've just emailed both the enquiry email address and Bob Norster - let's see what they say

I looked at a few of the match reports and all the ones I looked at showed they were played at Cardiff Arms Park. It's just the listing that has the TBA showing. Odd.

I can't wait for their explanation, if they offer one.

As the oldest game on that page (Aug2008) still shows CAP and was a friendly game, where all the others are either listed as HC, ML or EDF, I would suggest for some unknown reason these have defaulted to TBA.

Call me a cynic, but I doubt very much that somebody from inside Cardiff Blues thought this should be removed and so instructed the IT dept to do so, to intentionally distance the Blues from their time at CAP and remove all trace that they ever played there.

See the thread re the ML & CB sites. Both have dropped CAP from the list. Obviously nothing in it. Two accidents side by side!

A bit of a coincidence don't you think Rusts with both websites showing TBA instead of Cardiff Arms Park?

While we are on the subject of season tickets, is it possible to buy a Rags season ticket online?

I can't seem to find them advertised anywhere either or is just me being stupid?
